Configuring and using Percy Tour

This webpart is included in the Percy Tour app. You will need to add this app to your site before you can use the webpart.

For this, you will require Member / Edit permissions to the site.

Edit the page you want to add the webpart to, go add new, and select the Tour web part:

 

Once added you can click the Edit webpart to open the property pane, which displays the below settings:

 

Configure steps: this opens a panel that lets you configure each step of the tour, such as the webpart / section of the page that is highlighted, the ordering of each step, and the description that is shown. Below is an example of what the tour looks like when someone is going through it:

 

 

Track tour completions: this is recommended when the tour loads automatically, otherwise people will be forced to keep taking the tour after they have already completed it.

 

Start automatically for new users: this option is only visible if you enable tracking above. When someone loads the page for the first time, the tour automatically starts.

 

End of tour behaviour: this can either be left to Do Nothing, or redirect to another page.

 

Button label: the text shown on the button to start the tour.

 

Button type: the appearance of the button based on the theme. The button can also be set to Invisible - when doing this, you will need to make sure the tour is set to start automatically.
